Material : Pencil drawing, photoshop
Processes: first drew scene (rachel at table), then drew candles after, imported image into photoshop and merged the two drawings into one photo, edited to make all same color, added staticky imaging behind figure, then lastly added the red.
ideas: SI: monotony - dinner plan that is on the calendar piece
with the other classes may be other people but only shows figure sitting alone so disconnected
Synthesis: Use lines to create feeling of monotony and and sketching added activity surrounding figure, but not involved in it
Part 2:
Immediately looking at this piece I felt the loneliness of it with the single figure in the frame. What else stood out to me was that the glasses of wine were completely full and untouched while the plates were completely empty. Also, because she is sitting with a full glass of what might be soda while the other glasses are wine glasses I assume its the parents - showing struggle and loneliness at home.
For her 2D processes in her piece she makes use of space and dimension by using scale and proportion with the plates and shadows on the table. She also exhibits color and line repetition with the red barcode like lines she adds throughout the photo. By placing the color across her face it brings emphasis to the emotion written across her face. Other than the photoshopped red lines, the drawing being completely in pencil creates unity in the piece with the figure and the table.
