When looking at Margaret's piece, I can clearly see a perfect representation of many skills integrated with our 2D design course. Repetition, reflection, shading, movement, opacity, figure/ground relationship, balance, etc., she clearly shows her skills learned through this course in her work. Her theme being Isolation, Margaret depicts a boy in distress, counting the days he has been alone. Margaret used a pencil to draw her figure, and in photoshop she designed the placement of the "puzzle pieces". Concepts used in her piece would be the perception of time dragging when you are in this state of loneliness and entrapment. I am blown away by the detail she uses in her work, and in this specific piece she uses her skills to repeat and reflect her work to create a puzzle-like representation of the boy.
