Atkins Sustained Investigation 6

Height: 25 inches

Width: 45 inches

Material(s): Chalk pastel, black paper, digital photography for composition

Process(es): Photo several angles, white chalk subject outline on black paper, finished work with colored chalk

This piece set out to investigate the isolation we have all faced due to the pandemic. It has felt like we have all been in our own little bubbles, and so I photoshopped people into bubbles that are actually a part of a larger coronavirus cell.

  2. This cam out so well! The graphic of coronavirus looks so cool and I like how you incorporated aspects of quarantine into your theme of isolation. Good job :)

  3. I love how each person is isolated. It feels really relatable to today's world and how the pandemic has heavily isolated everyone and how everyone is just merely stuck onto their computers and other forms of technology.

  4. I love how you are in different positions and how you are in the center of the biggest circle. Adding a textured outside to only some of the bubbles is really interesting because it adds perspective to which bubbles are farther away and which are closer.
