The selections focus on the motif of isolation and will seek to produce bracing symbolic imagery of my experience of sudden isolation, tiresome monotony, followed by a gradual re-emergence back into contact with humankind.

Throughout my sustained investigation, I attempted to capture the different emotions that could be associated with isolation, not only with regards to the pandemic but in other social dilemmas that are destroying our interactions with others in the new virtual world. While most of my pieces are the more classically created paintings or drawings, I also experimented with 3D perspectives and how light affects subjects in photography. I used mediums such as watercolor, chalk pastel, photography, photoshop, glass, foam board and colored pencil.
