I love the hyperrealism of the piece, especially the subject's hair! I think the background is so amazing. It provides such a nice contrast to the dark clothes Allie's wearing. It is also unifying and emphasizes the subject.
This piece is excellent example of how pattern/repetition function to provide unity in a composition. Well done! I am also glad to see your hand drawn/painted sketchbook work re-contextualized in a new digital space.
I love how you chose to keep the design throughout the entire background but chose to not add it on top of Allie because it draws our attention to the main focus. I also love your use of shading around the body and how the gate layer is on top of the background layer. It ties the piece together. Great job!
