Sustained Investigation #2 Bella Dayrit

I decided to work more on my sustained investigation today. I think I’m pretty much done, however J feel like I’m missing something or I could add something to make it more interesting but at the same time there’s a lot going on and I don’t want to clutter it even more. My theme is showing the layers of identity through color and form but I think I’ve been using line more than form so far. I’ll greatly appreciate any feedback or thoughts.

  1. I am in awe with your use of thick paint in the background. I love the transition from cool to warm colors as well as the simplistic line drawings of yourself. I think the piece has so much movement. What do you plan on titling it?

  2. Wow!! I am in awe of the colors you used, and the technique behind it. I love how your artworks have the similar color scheme to then, with warm and cool colors, I think that could be something cool to continue exploring. I also love all the different positions and emotions you used. Have you considered possibly adding little bits of color to yourself in the corner to add some more unity? I love this piece so much, I can't wait for your other sustained investigation works!

  3. I like how you went from colors schemes to the white at the bottom, yet your outline of the body matches the color of the paint. It shows a good transition throughout your piece. My only thing is that if you could fix the nose on the top one because it does look like you messed up.

  5. Bella I love it. The colors are so free and then with the line outlines of the faces its like 3 different identities of the same person!
