julianna critique
I think this is such a well executed piece. This is because the colors work so well together and they really develope the mood of the piece. I love how simplistic this piece is but it is also able to establish a strong message. The linework appears very strategic in order to avoid taking away from other parts of the card. The shapes and linework are all very fluid and smooth. She made the brightest parts of the card in the center. The card is very symetrical and balanced. Obviously its not perfectly symmetrical, but Julianna manages to maintain balance throughout the card. Her skills in 2D Design are very developed and it shows in this piece and through ones before this.
Materials: photoshop
Processes: sketch in sketchbook, took photo and uploaded to photoshop, traced over it in photoshop
Ideas: brightness location, color, lines, balance
Synthesis: She began with her sketchbook and as she became confident with a sketch she uploaded it to photoshop. From there she created a well developed Taroh Card design.
