Jocelyn Zavala-Garcia's Choice Board #4 : Mentor Artist


I chose the Mentor Artist prompt for this Choice Board, my mentor artist being Jenny Saville. I was inspired by her portraits and use of brushstrokes to add another dimension to the piece. The materials I used were canvas and acrylic paints.

    Wow Jocelyn this is really amazing! I really love your technique when you paint with acrylic, it kind of reminds me of Fauvism a little bit. Awesome work as always!!

    I love how you use the colors throughout the painting and the detail around the eyes. The brushstrokes look great!
