Sisson Choice Board 14
For this choice board I did the first part of one of my sustained investigation projects. I am planing on adding more in Photoshop and playing around with colors and effects to make it more interesting.
Rachel, The sense of depth, space, and bilaterally symmetrical composition in this drawing combine to create a deeply engaging drawing. The shadows add so much interest and atmosphere....there is almost a subtle sense of them floating off the surface of the table! I can also see a connection to your recent tromp l'oeil desktop planner mixed-media piece. Are you considering adding an element in the space suggested to be occupied by the viewer, or planning on leaving it blank?
First of all, I knew who drew this before I even saw your name attached because the figure looks just like you! The shadows of the plates are blended so nicely, and I LOVE your reflection of your shirt in the wine glass.
This is so so good Rachel! I could automatically tell it was you in the drawing. I love how you used space and dimension to make it seem that you are far at the end of the table.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the sense of depth you created with the plates and wine. This is so well done and almost feels alluring looking at it.
ReplyDeleteI am so amazed at how you created the distance in the piece. The piece is simple yet theres so much talent and dimension. I love it!
