Bella Dayrit Choice board 3: Colored Pencil Cross Hatching

 For this choice board, I used colored pencils to create this portrait through hatching. I first sketched out the person's outline in bright yellow colored pencil and then began filling in with different colored hatching. I used different colors to illustrate the light and shadows on the face. I used cooler colors for the shadows and warmer colors for the lights. I felt this was kinda difficult doing hatching with a human face as usually I only hatch with objects. I think this was good practice and experimentation with a different style than I'm used to but still was somewhat families drawing the face.
